Driver Safety
Safety is a number one priority for us. And, we know how important safety is to you. Especially when our drivers are transporting your cargo. The price tag on accidents includes more than health risk and money. It affects the public opinion of your company.

In order to assure the safest standards, we handpick our drivers through an intensive recruiting process, offer in-depth training programs and consistently run internal safety programs.

Recruiting
At Classic Transport, we take recruiting very seriously, which is why we invest thousands of dollars into our yearly recruiting campaigns. We have a reputation as a company with high standards. Those same standards apply to our drivers. Therefore, they must meet the following qualifications:
  • Minimum of 23 years of age.
  • No more than two moving violations in the past two years.
  • No more than two accidents in the past three years, regardless of fault.
  • Must have no DUI, DWI, chemical test refusal, reckless or careless driving, or felony convictions in the last 7 years.
  • Must pass DOT physical and drug screening test with exam less than 6 months from lease date (at their expense).
  • Must pass road test.
  • Must possess at least a Class C (chauffeur) license. Contact local DMV for information.
Training
After we hire the best available drivers, we put them through a rigorous training program to ensure they are prepared for the road ahead.

At Classic Transport, we have two certified (through National Safety Council) Safety Driver Instructors on staff.

Additionally, we have a Loss Control Board. The Board meets once a month to review claims and the drivers involved in accidents to make certain we retain only the safest drivers.

Programs
We also conduct several awareness campaigns throughout the year. The objective of these campaigns is to continuously remind drivers of ongoing safety issues.
